General Info

  • The All American Marathon will start in downtown Fayetteville, NC, at Segra Stadium and will end on Fort Bragg, at the Main Post Parade Field.

General Info

  • The All American 5K will start and end in downtown Fayetteville, NC, at Segra Stadium.

  • All registered participants will receive a t-shirt and 5k medal.
  • The All American 5k is walker and stroller friendly.
  • Children are allowed to participate as long as they are registered runners in the race.
  • Children in strollers will not be charged, but will not receive a medal or a t-shirt.

Virtual Race
The Virtual All American Marathon and Virtual Mike to Mike Half Marathon is available for anyone who would like to be a part of the race but not able to participate race weekend.Participants are welcome to run the Virtual All American Full Marathon or the Virtual Mike to Mike Half Marathon anytime and anywhere that is convenient but must finished by date TBD.  These virtual marathons are non-competitive with no age group or overall awards.

  • Once registered, runners will receive a confirmation e-mail containing a link to the virtual bib.  Virtual participants may print and wear the bib or keep as a token of your efforts.
  • Post pictures with your shirt and medal after completion of your run on social media using #RunAllAmerican and be sure to tag us!

Please note: This event is not the same as the Shadow Run.

Ultimate Warrior Medal
The Ultimate warrior Medal (UWM) is an achievement medal for those who participate in 3 United States Military organized races. Limited quantity is available.

Ultimate Warrior Medal Eligibility Requirements:

  • Participate in 3 races Organized by a United States military service branch.
  • Time frame: TBD
  • One of your 3 races must be the All American Marathon, Mike-to-Mike Half Marathon, or All American 5K

Passport to America's Hometown

The Passport to America’s Hometown is a pocket guide to 12 attractions for visitors/locals to visit in Cumberland County. When you complete a visit at one of the 12 attractions, your passport is stamped by that location. Every stamp is different and unique to each attraction. Passports can be obtained at our three Visitor Center locations, as well as each of the 11 featured attractions.

Featured attractions include Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum, Airborne, and Special Operations Museum, The Arts Council, Averasboro Battlefield, Cape Fear Botanical Garden, J. Bayard Clark Park, and Nature Center, Fascinate-U Children’s Museum. Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum, John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Museum, Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex, and North Carolina.

Access To Fort Bragg
All registered athletes wearing a race bib on course will be granted access to Fort Bragg during their marathon and half marathon races.

If you’re not a DOD ID cardholder and wish to enter Fort Bragg before race day, you must go through the AIE pass process.

  • Personnel without valid Department of Defense issued identification requesting access to the Fort Bragg Military Reservation to participate in or view the All American Marathon are highly encouraged to apply in advance for an Automated Installation Entry (AIE) pass for the day of the marathon. AIE passes can be obtained at the All American Welcome Center which is open 24/7 and is located at the All American Freeway Access Control Point (ACP).

Special Event Access On Race Day

On the day of the marathon, those who have not applied for, or received an AIE pass will be directed to the All American ACP, the Randolph ACP (Randolph St. and Bragg Blvd.), the Chicken Rd ACP, and/or the Longstreet Rd ACP. Vehicle and contents may be subject to search. It is highly recommended that plenty of time be allowed as traffic may become congested.

Make sure to:

  • Carry your valid government photo ID such as a drivers license
  • Have the current registration for any vehicle entering Fort Bragg
  • Be prepared for a vehicle inspection before post access is granted at the ACP
Parking & Shuttles
General Information The full and half marathons start in downtown Fayetteville and end on Fort Bragg.

Parking

Ample parking is available in downtown Fayetteville, and on Fort Bragg.

Shuttle Service

The following shuttle service options are available:

  • Pre-race shuttle A pre-race shuttle will be available for any runners who wish to park on Fort Bragg and ride to the start line.
  • Post-race shuttle Ample parking is available in downtown Fayetteville, near the start line and free post-race shuttles will be offered back to the start area for runners after the race.
  • Host-hotel shuttle
Hydration & Nutrition
Runner hydration is a top priority on race day.

The All American Marathon has 23 water stations along the route. There will be water stations every 1.5 miles for the first 9 miles of the marathon and half marathon courses. From mile marker 10 and after, we will provide a water station at every mile till the finish.

In addition to hydration, there are 4 food stops along the marathon route and 1 food stops along the half marathon route. There will also be an aid station located with every other water station on the racecourse.

Volunteers

We have many volunteer opportunities! We are looking for large groups, as well as individuals. Below are just a few of the jobs available.

  • Water station attendants – Mix electrolyte product, distribute water, and cheer on runners.
  • Course marshals – Motivate runners, steer them in the right direction, and maintain the flow of all three races.
  • Post-race festival – Jobs include food tent attendant, volunteer check-in, information tent attendant, trash detail, and our ‘Jack of all Trades’ floater.
  • Gear check attendants – Collect, organize, and distribute bags of gear runners want access to when they finish their race.

Frequently Asked Questions
Pre-race:

  • How do I register? All registrations will be completed online. See "Register" above for more information.
  • Where can I find a course map? When available, course maps are located under the section that corresponds to each race. For example, the course map for the Mike to Mike Half Marathon, can be found under the "Mike to Mike Half Marathon" accordion above.
  • Where do I pick up my packet? Click on the "Expo & Packet Pick-up" accordion above for location/date/time.
  • Can you mail me my race packet? No, we do not mail race packets. Click on the "Expo & Packet Pick-up" accordion above for details on when/where you can pick up your packet.
  • Can I have someone else pick up my packet for me? Yes, they must bring a copy of your valid Government-issued ID to pick up your packet in your name.  If you registered with a military discount please ensure that whoever is picking up for you has a copy of your DoD ID Card.
  • Will there be a gear check? Yes. Gear check will be located at Segra Stadium. Gear will only be accepted if it is in the clear plastic drawstring bag you receive at packet pick-up. No uncontained liquids or weapons may be checked-in bags. Gear will be available at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the finish line for the half and full marathon.
  • What is the refund policy? There are no refunds
  • What is the course time limit? Marathon is 7 hours and a half marathon is 4 hours
  • Will there be a baggage check? Yes
  • Are strollers and baby joggers allowed for the marathon and half marathon? No, they are not allowed for the marathon and half marathon. This is a safety issue and no exceptions will be made.
  • Are strollers allowed during the 5k? Yes, strollers are allowed for the 5k only. We ask that all participants pushing a stroller line up to the back of the start to allow faster runners to safely enter the race course.
  • Are pets allowed? No, pets are not allowed for any of the races.
  • Are pace groups available? Pace groups are available for the half and full marathon’s only.
  • I want to volunteer what do I need to do? Visit the "Volunteers" accordion above for information.
  • Is there an age requirement? Participants must be at least 14 for the Mike to Mike Half Marathon and 16 for the All American Marathon.
  • Is this a USATF Event? Yes we are USATF sanctioned.
  • Is the All American Marathon an official Boston Qualifier? Yes, our course has been certified, which makes the All American Marathon an official Boston Qualifier
  • Where can I park?
  • Locations on a post, as well as shuttle start time, can be found by visiting the "Parking & Shuttles" accordion above.

Post-race:

  • What are the post-race activities? Food vendors, children activity area, live entertainment
  • If I do not stay for the awards ceremony will you ship my award to me? Yes, all awards not picked up on race day will be mailed within 30 days after final results are posted.
  • When can I get my results after the race? Official results will be posted under the "Race Results & Photos" accordion above.

* Exception to policy requests must be submitted no later than 30 days from the day of the event. An exception to the policy deadline for the All American Marathon 2020 is February 28, 2020. The requests must be emailed for legal review and Command recommendations. No exceptions are guaranteed. After March 1, 2020, no exceptions will be granted. Please include a memo of your Who, What, Where, When, and why you would like the exception with contact information included.
