Iwakuni Castle is a mountain castle built-in 1608 by Hiroie Kikkawa, the first lord of Iwakuni. I did. It was a three-story, four-story Momoyama-style Nanban structure, but it was demolished seven years after the castle was built by the one-country-one-castle decree. The current castle tower was rebuilt in 1962.
A precision model of Kintaikyo Bridge, photographs, armor, and armor are exhibited in the castle tower made of Momoyama Nanban. The castle tower is an observatory where you can enjoy the view of Iwakuni city.

Along the ridge of Shiroyama, the length is 180 meters, the width is 54 to 108 meters, the height of the stone wall is 5.4 meters, and the castle tower is said to be a Momoyama-style Nanban-zukuri. In addition to this, there were five Yakura buildings, two folding gates, one buried gate, and two wells.
The front of the Yokoyama side was the major one, and the rear of Misho was the picker, and the Nishiki River was separated and the Aki boundary was seen to the north. In June 1615, it was demolished by the Tokugawa Shogunate's Ichikuni Ichijo Ordinance. In March 1961, the restoration work was started by changing the position about 50 meters to the east side where the city can be seen from the castle tower ruins, and it was completed in 1962 the following year.
The stone wall of the former castle tower can be restored and visited with the masonry technology of the time.
