Hospital Care & Surgery at the 60th Medical Group - Travis Air Force Base consists of General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, and Respiratory Therapy. For more information, please visit the individual health services.
General Surgery
Patients must be referred by their primary care manager. The General Surgery Clinic provides surgical and nonsurgical therapeutic interventions and diagnostic studies to all age groups. We provide specialists who care for surgery on the abdomen, skin, breast, soft tissues, or endocrine system, which includes the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts, among other organs.

Neurosurgery
We are committed to providing compassionate and quality care for neurosurgical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. We use the best available practices when approaching our patients, and tailor care to fit our patients' needs. This includes exhausting conservative and less invasive measures when appropriate. Our neurosurgical team is well-versed in the use of technology for our surgical cases, which includes both cranial and spinal navigation, percutaneous techniques, and both endoscopic and microscopic neurosurgery. Conditions treated include neurotrauma, intracranial and spinal tumors, compressive neuropathies, peripheral nerve tumors, hydrocephalus, and degenerative spinal conditions.

Plastic Surgery
The Plastic Surgery Clinic provides services such as the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects of form or function involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, craniomaxillofacial structures, hand, extremities, breast and trunk, and external genitalia or cosmetic enhancement to these areas of the body. Other services include laser scar revision, as well as tattooing for breast reconstructive patients.

Respiratory Therapy
Respiratory Therapy is responsible for inpatient care throughout David Grant Medical Center. Respiratory Therapy does not offer outpatient services.
