Specialty Care at the 60th Medical Group - Travis Air Force Base consists of Audiology, Cardiology, Chiropractic, Dermatology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Heart, Lung and Vascular, Hematology / Oncology, Hyperbaric Medicine, Nephrology and Hemodialysis, Neurology, Occupational Therapy, Orthopedic and Podiatry, Physical Therapy, Pulmonary Medicine, Rheumatology, and Urology. Audiology
We provide diagnostic and rehabilitative services for hearing and vestibular disorders for active duty service members. Additionally, we support a hearing conservation program for diagnostic referrals. Newborn hearing screenings are provided for eligible beneficiaries. If you are seeking a hearing test to fulfill your annual PHA requirements, please contact Public Health (a referral to Audiology is not needed). Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics.

Chiropractic
We focus on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment or manipulation of the spine. The Chiropractic Clinic is a service only offered to active duty members.

Dermatology
The role that the Dermatology Clinic plays in the health care provided at David Grant Medical Center is to provide support to the patient care clinics. This Clinic provides health care for conditions affecting the skin. Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics.

Ear, Nose, and Throat
The Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Clinic at David Grant Medical Center - otherwise known as Ear, Nose, and Throat, or ENT - is a diverse surgical specialty that encompasses the treatment of most diseases affecting the head and neck. Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics.

Endocrinology
We manage and treat patients with hormonal conditions. Endocrinology is concerned with the study of the biosynthesis, storage, chemistry, and function of hormones and with the cells of the endocrine glands and tissues that secrete them. Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics.

Gastroenterology
Patients are referred to our services after their primary care manager team has seen them and has determined that their condition warrants treatment or a surgeon's review. Heart, Lung, and Vascular
In partnership with the Veteran Administration Northern California Health Care System, the Heart, Lung, and Vascular Center at David Grant USAF Medical Center is a multi-specialty clinic that provides services to patients referred with diseases of the heart, lungs, and circulation. This includes:
- Active duty and retired military members
- Family members ages 18 and older
- VA patients referred or admitted to DGMC
New Patient Referral Information: Referrals must come from primary care, family practice, internal medicine, flight medicine, the emergency department, a surgeon, or an anesthesiologist.
Patients not enrolled in TRICARE Prime will be seen with a referral from primary care, family practice, or internal medicine. Patients from select remote locations may be partially evaluated via telemedicine to avoid travel expenses and to expedite the evaluation.
HLVC clinical capabilities and services include:
- Interventional cardiology
- Electrophysiology cardiology
- Cardiac device implantation, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and resynchronization devices.
- Nuclear imaging
- Cardiac CT imaging
The HLVC professional staff includes seven board certified or board eligible cardiologists, two board-certified nurse practitioners, and a board-certified physician assistant, each with subspecialty certifications in:
- Pulmonology
- Critical care
- Cardiothoracic surgery
- Vascular surgery
- Cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine
The staff also includes nurses and technicians with advanced training in rhythm monitoring, echocardiography, stress testing, cardiac catheterization, vascular ultrasonography, interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, pulmonary function testing, sleep testing, ventilator management, bronchoscopy and the surgical treatment of heart, lung and vascular diseases; and an administrative support team.
Current services include the evaluation and treatment of:
- Coronary disease
- Arrhythmias, bradycardia, syncope
- Valvular heart disease
- Congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathies
- Obstructive and restrictive lung diseases
- Sleep disorders
- Lung nodules and masses
- Peripheral circulatory diseases
- Carotid artery disease
- Aneurysms of the aorta and other vessels
- Multiple modalities of noninvasive vascular imaging
- Minimally invasive and open vascular surgery
- Minimally invasive and open thoracic surgery
- Peripheral artery angioplasty and stenting
- Coronary artery angioplasty and stenting
- Open heart surgery
- Electrophysiologic testing and ablation procedures
Services that are not routinely offered include ventricular assist devices, heart and lung transplants, and congenital heart surgery.
Patient Instructions: Patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their appointment. Patients scheduled for cardiac stress testing or imaging procedures should not eat at least four hours before their appointment.

Hematology / Oncology
The Joint Venture Hematology-Oncology Infusion Center is a full-service clinic offering a wide range of treatments for cancer and other blood disorders. We care for patients with TRICARE or Veteran Affairs benefits. Our clinic staff is made up of professionals serving on active duty, Air Force civil service, Veteran Affairs employees, and Air Force contractors. We work closely with Radiation Oncology to plan your treatment and support you.

Hyperbaric Medicine
Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic specializes in hyperbaric medicine and chronic wound care. The staff consists of board-certified Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine physicians, technicians, and nurses. The Clinic provides inpatient and outpatient clinical consultation in hyperbaric medicine and chronic wound care to patients from David Grant Medical Center, the Veteran's Affairs (VA) Northern California Health Care System, and other regional government and civilian organizations.
Typical Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments include:
- HBO2 for most clinical indications at DGMC consists of pressurization to two atmospheres absolute (33 feet of seawater equivalent) for 90 minutes.
- The frequency of treatment is generally five days per week and may involve twice-daily treatments when indicated.
Infectious Diseases
The Infectious Diseases Clinic evaluates and manages the entire spectrum of infectious diseases including DoD beneficiaries with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection, bacterial, viral, fungal, rickettsial, mycobacterial, and parasitic infections, as well as events related to bioterrorism. We provide infectious disease consultative and follow-up care to eligible surgical and medical inpatients and outpatients, and telephonic consultative services to regional DoD clinics and hospitals. We support Public Health functions to improve population-level disease prevention and response. We provide pre-travel counseling and post-travel evaluations for travel-related and tropical diseases. In addition, we provide counseling and medication if indicated for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Patients may self-refer to be seen in our International Travel Clinic. Male patients may self-refer to be seen in our Sexually Transmitted Infection clinic. All other appointment types require referral. All patients must have an appointment to be seen. Nephrology and Hemodialysis
We provide comprehensive treatment through the management of chronic kidney diseases, kidney failure, hypertension, glomerular disorders, transplant aftercare, and electrolyte abnormalities. Additionally, we offer injections for chronic anemia related to kidney disease and we host a multidisciplinary chronic kidney disease education class. We serve both Department of Defense and Veteran Affairs beneficiaries. We are unable to care for patients receiving home dialysis therapies including peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis.

Neurology
The Neurology Clinic diagnoses and manages patients with acute and chronic neurologic illnesses. Ancillary procedures performed include nerve conduction studies, as well as outpatient procedures such as lumbar punctures. Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics.

Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapy Clinic specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation. Some of the rehabilitation therapy includes; joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, active/passive range of motion, ergonomic evaluations, and body mechanics training. Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics.

Orthopedic and Podiatry
Orthopedic and Podiatry is comprised of dedicated and compassionate professionals who specialize in the comprehensive care of patients with bone and joint disorders of the extremities. Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics. All initial appointments are referred by the primary care manager and booked through the Referral Management Center at 707-423-7641. Services include:

Physical Therapy
The Physical Therapy Clinic evaluates, diagnoses, and develops treatment plans for patients. Physical therapists use exercise, mobilization, manipulation, and modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation to restore function, improve mobility and decrease pain. Patients must be referred by their primary care manager to these clinics.

We are a referral-based clinic specializing in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for a wide range of urological conditions, such as urinary incontinence, prostate and kidney cancers, kidney stones, and bladder dysfunction.
