Clovis Municipal Schools-Cannon AFB

The Clovis Municipal School system serves grades Pre-K through 12, with a student population of approximately 8,107 attending 18 schools in 1 public school district. The high school in Clovis averages a student population of around 1,700, a freshman campus of about 600, and middle and elementary schools average about 300 each. Clovis uses yearly competency testing to assess student progress. Full-day state-funded kindergarten sessions are available at all of the elementary schools. Residency establishes which school a student attends. Clovis provides bus service to anyone living more than one mile from their district school. Hot lunches are provided on a sliding fee basis. Summer school is offered on a by-need basis with no fee for elementary students and some costs for high school students. An after-school program is available at some schools on a space-available basis. Clovis grading system is 90-100 A, 80-89 B, 70-79 C, 60-69 D, and below 60 is considered failing.
