CHICAGO (NNS) -- Servicemembers traveling to, from or through Chicago's Midway International. Midway Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the nation. Dedicated Aug. 26, a new USO facility will cater to the increasing number of military men, women and their families who stop at the airport during their travels. "We can now serve those who serve," said Richard A. Bruder, president of the USO of Illinois' Board of Directors during the dedication ceremony.  The USO of Illinois also runs facilities at Great Lakes Naval Service Training Center (NSTC), downtown Chicago at Navy Pier, and at O'Hare International Airport, where dozens of volunteers donate time to the care and feeding of military members who visit them. The USO estimates that they serve 200,000 military personnel a year in Illinois through various programs.
