Sorsogon City, officially the City of Sorsogon, (Central Bicolano: Ciudad nin Sorsogon; Filipino: Lungsod ng Sorsogon), is a 3rd class city and capital of the province of Sorsogon, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 168,110 people.[3]
The city was formed in the year 2000 by the merging of Bacon and Sorsogon towns.[citation needed] The city's total population spread across 64 barangays.
