School Liaison Program- MCB Hawaii Kaneohe Bay

The School Liaison is the installation point of contact to assist parents of school-aged children in grades K - 12. The School Liaison develops policies and program to ensure educational support of military family members and facilitates interaction between the schools and the military community. The School Liaison at MCB Hawaii: • Supports families with inbound/outbound school transfers • Provides resource materials to assist parents in understanding the policies and procedures of the Hawaii State Department of Education • Promotes parent involvement in Hawaii schools • Secures access to military resources in the local schools serving military children • Connects families with local school points of contact • Enhances communication and interactions between the installation, families and schools • Serves as the Installation Commander’s representative for issues involving local public schools and their relationship to the local military community Parents, school personnel and community members with questions about school-aged military child education are encouraged to contact the School Liaison Officer
