Barksdale AFB - Archery

Outdoor Recreation’s Archery Program enjoys tremendous success and popularity. The Archery Course is located on the East Reservation at the Red Chute Gun Club and features 31 three-dimensional lifelike targets that vary from raccoons and turkeys to dinosaurs, deer and elk. (Broadheads and guns may NOT be used on the targets please.)

The program hosts monthly archery tournaments from February through June that draw participants from every skill level, novice to professional.  Off-base participants are welcome to shoot the 3D Tournaments; just call 453-0976 for base access by Monday prior to the tournament. Fees start at just $10 for children and $15 for adults.  The Practice range offers four stationary and other 3D targets at 10, 20, 30, and 40 yard distances. It’s challenging, good clean fun for folks of all ages.
