Aguilar, officially the Municipality of Aguilar, (Pangasinan: Baley na Aguilar; Ilokano: Ili ti Aguilar; Tagalog: Bayan ng Aguilar), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 41,463 people.[3]
The municipality was named after Spanish governor-general Rafael María de Aguilar, who ordered the establishment of an independent civil political unit on 16 July 1805.
