Burien Farmers Market

Farmers’ markets are an essential part of our economy and community. Shopping at farmers’ markets helps to support agricultural producers, ensured food access for all, and builds connections between producers and consumers. Farmers’ markets were listed as “essential infrastructure” in Governor Inslee’s proclamation in March 2020. Since that time, we have worked weekly with the Public Health Department to receive approval to open, as well as to allow additional “non-essential” vendors to participate. As of July 2020, crafters were allowed back into the Burien Farmers Market.

The Burien Farmers Market is a community icon among locals and supports small family farms, and local businesses, and helps feed people healthy, nutritious food. In response to COVID-19, the Burien Farmers Market has been working diligently with the King County Health Department and other local partners to create a modified market that ensures the health and safety of its vendors and shoppers.

Ballard Farmers Market

Open since 2000, The Ballard Farmers Market is Seattle’s first year-round neighborhood farmers market selling produce exclusively from Washington state farmers. The Market has operated along the historic cobblestone stretch of Ballard Avenue NW between Vernon Place and 22nd Avenue. In the spring of 2016, the Market expanded onto 22nd Avenue, extending to NW Market Street.  We hope you will visit us soon and plan to spend the day exploring one of the gems of Seattle.

The mission of the Seattle Farmers Market Association is to provide fun and rewarding venues for Washington state small farms and artisans to bring their highest quality, locally-grown, and crafted products to urban residents. Our goal is to help our vendors be successful. Our intention is to facilitate a mutually beneficial connection between our community’s residents and the individuals who steward our local farmland and provide a variety of cultural arts.
