The adjutant provides administrative support to the commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point and the subordinate squadron commanders. The adjutant also provides technical assistance and advice to staff departments to ensure the quality and effectiveness of MCAS Cherry Point.
The adjutant is responsible for: coordinating internal and external administrative requirements, tracking and monitoring urgent administrative support requested by higher headquarters and/or subordinate commands, preparing and publishing duty roster assignments, publishing staff regulations, preparing, reviewing and staffing command correspondence to include congressional inquiries/special interest correspondence, managing the command’s performance evaluations program, processing personal, unit, and special awards, managing the Casualty Assistance Program / Military Funeral Honors, maintaining command correspondence files, managing the acquisition, distribution control, and accountability of the command’s publications and manages the Directives Control Point (DCP), managing the command’s forms, records and reports management programs, managing the Privacy Act of 1974 and managing the Voter Registration Program.

The Community Plans & Liaison Office manages and responds to AICUZ, JLUS, Noise Complaints, Encroachment Control Programs, and public inquiries. We lead, attend/liaison with local/state/federal government meetings and officials. The CPLO office participates in Community Relations Programs, including off-base community events. We provide VIP tours on-base and operate high visibility functions to foster positive relationships with the eastern region and throughout the State of North Carolina representing the MCAS Cherry Point as official civilian liaisons.
The mission of the Community Plans and Liaison Office is to create and foster positive and long-term relationships between MCAS Cherry Point and local communities. The goal is to communicate public awareness of MCAS Cherry Point’s contributions to national defense and the need for training through interaction with Marines and Sailors.

The purpose of the Command Inspector General’s Office is to uphold the core values of our Corps, support individual opportunity, and quality of life for your Marines, Sailors, Civilian Marines and their family members.
Advises and assists the Commanding Officer (CO), MCAS Cherry Point, on all matters pertaining to inspections and investigations in order to promote efficiency, economy, and readiness; and determines the extent of compliance with existing laws, orders, and regulations. Manages the Hotline and Command Inspection Programs. Makes determinations regarding civilian misconduct, Air Station access and appeals (Debarments, Business Permits and Contractor Access), as well as other issues for command review and determination. Oversees Traffic Court Magistrates and compliance with applicable regulations. Makes determinations of driving privilege revocations and appeals, as well as revocations of privileges to facilities, activities or the Air Station. Chair’s the Area Armed Forces Disciplinary Control Board in order to safeguard the safety, health, welfare, security and discipline of service members and their families.

NGIS offers guests the opportunity to enjoy this exciting and educational resort and the surrounding Hampton Roads area while staying in a 5-star lodging facility.

NGIS Conference Center’s state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment includes 3 large drop-down screens, a blue-ray DVD player, surround sound, wireless microphone and touch screen control panel, and conference phone.
