Veterinary Treatment-NASNI Coronado

Naval Air Station North Island Coronado does not have Veterinary Facilities inside the base, however, all animal care is being catered to by MCAS Miramar.

MCAS Miramar’s U.S. Army Veterinary Treatment Facility’s mission is medical support for the military dogs that are assigned to MCAS Miramar and control of zoonotic diseases. Primary services provided for privately-owned animals are pet registration (if living on base), routine vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention, intestinal parasites prevention and treatment, flea control, and limited sick call appointments. Health certificates are provided at no cost for PCS moves and at a minimal cost for other traveling purposes. Animals are seen by appointment only.

All animals must be properly restrained while in the VTF: cats in carriers and dogs on a leash. For your child’s safety, no children under 12 years of age are allowed on pet appointment days.

The VTF is unable to provide 24-hour service. Civilian veterinarians are listed in the Yellow Pages. We recommend that you contact a provider with a 24-hour service before you need it!

Christ Church Day School-NASNI Coronado

Welcome to Christ Church Day School located in the beautiful seaside island village of Coronado, CA. What began as an outreach of Christ Church, the Day School opened its doors in 1957 and has developed a rich tradition of academic excellence while teaching to the whole child. Currently, we are serving students in Junior Kindergarten through Sixth Grade with an average class size of 14 students. At CCDS, you will find happy, engaged students who are encouraged by teachers, parents, and administrators to develop their natural curiosity and strive to achieve their full potential. There is a strong sense of community on our campus, and you will see students from different grades working together on projects, sharing their time, and engaging in service learning and outreach opportunities.

We invite you to explore the pages of our website to discover what makes our school so unique and one that warmly embraces and supports our students and their families. We also invite you to contact us and set up a time to visit our campus and see our community in action. Once on campus, you will see how we have combined academic excellence, small class sizes, a caring and skilled staff who engage the students in reasoning and creativity, and impressive resources to help foster student growth.

For over 60 years, we at CCDS have been guiding students to be academic and well-rounded young people with a solid foundation in both the classroom and in society. We look forward to meeting with you to share more about our wonderful school.
