CRAB- NSB Kings Bay

11,500 square feet of fun. Welcome to the new SUBASE Kings Bay MWR Children’s Recreation Activities Building, aka “the CRAB.”  This multifunction recreation facility offers a full array of activities for everyone in the community to create a facility that fosters imagination and brings out the kid in us all.

Amenities at the CRAB include indoor playgrounds, bounce houses, a children’s library, party rooms, a visual imagination discovery room, a children’s theater, and Coffee at the CRAB, a We Proudly Serve Starbucks establishment. At the CRAB, new adventures can be found around every corner!

Daily Price: $2 per person (1 year old and up) per day.

Annual Membership: $60 for a first family member, $5 for each additional member. E1-E3: Free annual membership.

Auto Skills Center- NSB Kings Bay

Do-It-Yourself

Equipment and supplies are readily available at the MWR Auto Skills Center for completing minor automotive repairs. The facility is equipped with four indoor bays with lifts to provide space for almost any type of repair or preventive maintenance. Auto Skills Center employees are proficient in most automotive procedures and will assist you if you need help.

Car Wash

A four-bay wand operated drive-through car wash and self-service vacuum are also available for patron use. They are coin-operated self-service stations. Change machines are available on-site.

Deals On Wheels

Rent a space to sell your used vehicle at our vehicle sales lot. The lot is open 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Visit the Tickets & Travel office before parking your vehicle (a small fee applies). Space is available for used cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, and classic cars.

Lights, camera, action! Welcome to The Box Office.  Our digital cinema theater brings movies to life and provides the Kings Bay community with a convenient, affordable, and enjoyable movie-going experience. See the latest movies plus special “Advanced Screenings” throughout the year!

Liberty (E-5 and below) Perk: The Box Office offers Liberty patrons (E-5 and below) a free movie ticket, small popcorn, and small drink with valid Military ID. This perk is during regular showings only, this does not include special events, such as Advance Screenings (where tickets are free for everyone, but concession fees apply for all).

The Box Office offers a wide variety of classic movie concessions including popcorn, candy, nachos, and more!  We kindly ask that you finish all outside food and drinks prior to entering the theater. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the first showtime.

Youth Sports and Fitness- NSB Kings Bay

PLAY WITH PURPOSE

Looking for a place where your child can grow their athletic skills as well as
their character? Kings Bay Youth Sports & Fitness offers a multitude of
activities that will help them explore an active life while fostering teamwork,
dedication, and work ethic. Recreational sports leagues, activities, clinics,
and camps are offered throughout the year that focus on fundamentals,
sportsmanship, and fun. Your child is sure to have a good time while making
new friends and learning new skills. Kings Bay Youth Sports & Fitness aims
to equip the next generation of athletes with not only sports skills, but life
skills! So, whether you are new to Kings Bay and the kids are looking to make
some new friends, or you just need to get them out of the house and involved
in something other than video games, Kings Bay Youth Sports & Fitness is
where it’s at!

OUR MISSION

It is our mission to provide a safe, fun, organized, and quality recreationally
youth sports & fitness experience in order to enhance social, emotional, and
physical development of participants and encourage them to live active
lifestyles. We strive to provide clear and fair rules so that all participants may
play and learn in an environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork,
and fundamentals.
YOUTH SPORTS RECREATIONAL LEAGUES– Leagues are 7-8 week
seasons led by volunteer coaches that receive training and pass a
background check. All games and practices are held aboard Kings Bay.
The registration fee for all sports unless otherwise noted is $60 and includes a
uniform top and end of the season award.
Sports offered: Basketball, Bowling,
Baseball, Cheerleading, Flag Football, Running Club, Soccer, and Volleyball
GROUP INSTRUCTION/CLASSES- Gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do, and
Swimming (offered at the Fitness complex) and Golf (offered at Trident Lakes
Golf Course).
FITNESS– Armed Forces Kids’ Run, the largest worldwide kid’s run, held
every May on Armed Force’s Day (and coming soon Kids Fitness Challenge
and Family Obstacle Run!)
MOTOR SKILLS DEVELOPMENT– Start Smart sports development program
is a parent involvement program for ages 3-5yrs and includes the basic skills
of soccer, baseball, and basketball.

VOLUNTEER– Volunteer to be a youth coach or official. Volunteer hours are documented for your place of employment or school and you can earn discounts on registration fees or childcare! Volunteers will receive training and must pass a background check.

Fitness Complex-NSB Kings Bay

There’s something for everyone at the Kings Bay Fitness Complex. Whether you are an elite athlete or looking for a comfortable environment for getting back into shape, you will find everything you need to achieve your fitness goals right here. The Fitness Complex offers cardio and strength training equipment, free weights, group exercise classes, and more.

Starting a new fitness program? Drop-in for a Fitness Orientation class. The Fitness Complex’s friendly staff and expert trainers are dedicated to providing an exceptional experience that will take your fitness to the next level.

Join the 100 Mile Swim Club: Record your swim mileage after each workout and when you reach 100 miles swam then you will receive a Kings Bay 100 Miles Swim Club t-shirt. Open all year round with no end date. Open to all to participate.

Kings Bay Power Club: Individuals must complete all three lifts in two hours or less for barbell bench press, barbell squat, and barbell deadlift. Males (cumulative weight of 1000lb) Females (cumulative weight of 700lb). Must lift raw (can use chalk, belt, wrist wraps, and/or knee sleeves). Fitness instructors are required to spot individuals to qualify. All participants must check-in with the instructor before attempting the Power Club. Individuals who reach the achieved goal will receive a Kings Bay Power Club shirt. Must be 18+.

Facility use is free for active duty, retirees, Reservists, authorized family members, and DoD employees.  Civilian contractors and authorized guests are required to pay a fee* for use of the facility and must remain with their sponsor at all times. All patrons must show proper identification to enter the facility. *Facility Guest Fee (includes Group X classes and access to Aquatics Center): $5.00/person/day

Access to Workout/Activity Areas. Patrons must be 15 years or older to utilize workout/activity areas containing free weights and exercise equipment without supervision. Youth who are 10-14 years of age may utilize these areas with direct adult supervision. Ages under 10 are not permitted on the main weight floor, high-intensity space, cardio, or circuit training area. Youth, 15 years and older, may utilize the basketball, racquetball courts, and multi-purpose courts without supervision. Youth 14 years old and younger may only utilize the basketball, racquetball courts, and multi-purpose courts with adult supervision.(CNIC 1710.3).
