JBPHH FITNESS CENTER IS OPEN TO ACTIVE DUTY ONLY UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS DUE TO COVID-19 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Temporary Hours of Operation
Mon – Fri: 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sat – Sun:  7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Center will close at the following times for deep cleaning:
Mon – Fri: 9 to 10 a.m. and 2 to 3 p.m.
Sat/Sun: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Limited access: open to Active Duty Only; swap out patrons every hour
  • No towel service, sports equip or accessory check out
  • No locker room/shower access (toilets only) 
  • Bring your own towel and be dressed for a workout
  • Masks required for all patrons except when utilizing cardio equipment  
  • Basketball and Racquetball courts closed
  • Limited Free Weights, reduced number of cardio pieces open to allow social distance.
  • No Group Exercise, Personal Training or Massage services, saunas remain closed
  • No command PT/FEP sessions

NEW Multi-station Rig

Brand new, state-of-the-art equipment for traditional weight lifting and functional training. Multiple exercise stations with 76 attachments to perform over 100 different exercises, including pull-ups, deadlifts, overhead presses, TRX, wall ball tosses, dips, and rope climbing.

A complete full-body workout in one space, without the need to move from one end of the gym to another. The attachments can be easily added and removed, allowing everybody to use it for their specific exercise needs.

Anybody over 16 years can use this equipment. The fitness specialists and staff members can provide assistance as well as safety orientation upon request.

Ford Island Fitness Center- JB Pearl Harbor- Hickam

A 24 hour non-staffed fitness center located on the historic Ford Island.
Ford Island weight room rules

  1.  Authorized Patrons only. Military ID required.
  2.  Appropriate fitness clothing/shoes will be worn at all times and cover the body in a way not to offend others.
  3.  Patrons must be 15 years or older to use this facility.
  4.  Children between the ages of 10-15 yrs old must complete the Navy Fitness Youth Orientation program BEFORE authorized to work out under adult supervision.
  5.  Children under the age of 10 must remain in the enclosed area provided in the cardio room. Parents must remain in this room and provide direct supervision at all times.
  6.  Soiled diapers must be thrown away in the outside dumpster.
  7.  Food and drinks are prohibited. Water/Sports drinks ok.
  8.  Towels are required while working out in this facility.
  9.  Smoking is prohibited within 75 feet of this facility.
  10.  Abusive language is not permitted.
  11.  All weights must be returned to the proper rack.
  12.  Standing or placing weights on upholstered equipment is not permitted.
  13.  Gym bags must be kept in the locker rooms.
  14.  Lockers are for daily use only.  Items left overnight will be removed.
  15.  Dropping or banging weights is not permitted.
  16.  Radios are not allowed without personal headsets.
  17.  Weight belts prohibited on machines if the buckle might tear upholstery.
  18.  Cardio equipment is limited to 30 minutes during peak hours or when others are waiting.
  19.  Active Duty have priority Monday-Friday 5-7 am and 11 am-1 pm at all Navy fitness facilities.
  20.  The use of plastic suits is prohibited.
  21.  In consideration for others, equipment must be wiped down after use.
  22.  Outside trainers are prohibited from using this facility.
  23.  Individuals found in non-compliance with any of the above rules may be barred from the facility for a period prescribed by the Commanding Officer.
