Camp Smith - Crime Prevention Division

The Crime Prevention Division of the Military Police Department, MCBH, takes measures to reduce the opportunity for crime by improving community safety through measures to include: increased awareness and confidence, improved planning and design, and committing to strategies and programs that address risk factors. The duties and programs run by the Crime Prevention Division include: Operation Identification, the MPD House Check Program, crime statistics, crime mapping, crime prevention briefs, drug awareness briefs, crime/drug awareness campaigns, coordination with community groups and various base departments, McGruff program, and cooperation with local police regarding crime prevention awareness.

The Crime Prevention Division is located on the 1st deck of building 1095 inside the Physical Security Office.
