Corrales de Rota

Los Corrales are constructions that have usurped the land from the sea, to take advantage of the tides in favor of fishing. It is not totally clear if the origin is from Roman, Phoenician or Arab times. But what is certain is that it shows The important cultural heritage of Rota in the art of fishing. They have great cultural, archaeological and natural value. They deserve special protection, that is why they have been declared the first Natural Monument of Andalusia.
