Eglin AFB - Auto Hobby Shop

The Eglin Auto Hobby Shop is a full-service car repair shop for minor repairs and tune-ups, as well as a do-it-yourself mechanic's playground, with all the bays, lifts, tools and equipment needed to get the project done right. The facility is open to all base personnel and their families.

Customers can do minor and major engine repairs, oil changes, and more in the shop's 12-bays to include dedicated tire changing areas and engine room. A motorcycle lift has been added to assist the two wheeled community in keeping their rides safe and upright. Diagnostic equipment, to include trouble code reader, battery starting/charging testing and the latest version of ALLDATA®, are on hand to assist you in diagnosing your vehicle's particular needs, and the staff is always happy to offer customers hands-on assistance to properly repair their own vehicle. Wi-Fi access will be coming soon to the Auto Hobby Shop for the tech savvy customers.

The shop's knowledgeable staff of mechanics are also available to perform oil changes and other light repairs and up-keep, to include A/C service, brakes (including turning of rotors), mount and balance for most tires, serpentine belts, external water pumps, starters, alternators, struts, shocks, coolant drain and refill, and more.

The Eglin Auto Hobby Shop is located at the first light inside Eglin's East Gate, at the back of the parking area for the track and sports complex. Entrance to the Auto Hobby Shop is to the right of the Thrift Store, and for your convenience, there is also a 24-hour car wash adjacent to the complex.
