This is a popular holiday area year-round, particularly well-known as a World Championship ski center. There is an extensive network of lifts and pistes, many miles of cross-country ski trails, dog sledging, and snowmobiling. In summer, there is mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, whitewater rafting, and hiking. During the winter, there is a shop and restaurant on-site, and Åre center is only three miles away. A car is recommended.
