Legal assistance is available to you and your family.   Below, you’ll find information about claims and installation-specific programs and services. If you have questions, reach out to the legal assistance program at your installation.

Claims

Claims for household goods are not processed at Naval Air Station Kingsville or Corpus Christi Legal Office. If you need to file a claim due to damage to household goods during shipment provided through the U.S. Navy, you must do the following:

• Domestic moves prior to Nov. 1, 2007, or international moves prior to Oct. 1, 2007: You have 70 days in which to go to the Naval Air Station Kingsville Personal Property Office from the date of delivery to file your claim.
• For all moves conducted after the aforementioned dates, you must go through your carrier within 75 days from the date of delivery.

Legal assistance for NAS Kingsville military personnel and dependents is provided Monday through Thursday, 0730-1600 (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and Friday 0730-1200, (7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.), in the NAS Kingsville Legal Office, located in Bldg. 2740, 3rd Deck. Preparation of wills requires an appointment with a lawyer- appointments are scheduled in advance on Mondays. Please stop by the NAS Kingsville Legal Office to pick up an information packet that you will need to fill out, and at that time, we can arrange an appointment for you.
