Legal assistance is available to you and your family.   Below, you’ll find information about claims and installation-specific programs and services. If you have questions, reach out to the legal assistance program at your installation.

Legal Services

The Legal Office at Travis Air Force Base offers free professional legal advice concerning a wide range of personal civil legal matters. The office provides assistance with wills, domestic relations, dependent care issues, landlord-tenant problems, and consumer affairs.

Eligibility for Services

Legal assistance is available to active-duty personnel, including National Guard and reservists on Title 10 status, their dependents, and retired military personnel regardless of service branch or unit of assignment. Attorney-client confidentiality is strictly observed.

Types of Services and Hours of Operation

Notary and power of attorney services are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. For more information, call 707-424-3251.

Wills and estate planning services are provided by appointment only for active duty, dependents, and guards/reservists on Wednesday mornings. To schedule an appointment, generate a ticket through the Legal Worksheets tab of the U.S. Air Force Legal Assistance website.

Legal assistance and wills for retirees are provided by appointment only on Retiree Appreciation days. For further information or alternate referral information, call 707-424-3251.
