Lingayen, officially the Municipality of Lingayen, (Pangasinan: Baley na Lingayen; Ilokano: Ili ti Lingayen; Tagalog: Bayan ng Lingayen), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 103,278 people.[3]
It is the capital municipality and the seat of government of the province of Pangasinan. Lingayen was a strategic point during World War II. It is also the birthplace of former President Fidel V. Ramos.
