Frisco Rotary Farmers Market

Starting in 2007, the Frisco Farmers Market continues to grow in popularity.

The market was founded by the Frisco Noon Lions Club for the benefit of our community.

Today, the Rotary Club of Frisco continues the farmers market tradition with proceeds from the market supporting our Frisco community projects – including academic scholarships,

grants for local non-profits and first responder recognition.

We find local growers and ranchers who offer juicy melons, peaches, vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh corn on the cob, meat, and lots more.

We also find the best local purveyors of baked and canned goods, honey, olive oil,

soaps, arts and crafts, and other artisan products.

The market allows our customers to have access to locally grown,

farm-fresh produce and provides farmers the opportunity to develop

a personal relationship with their customers and cultivate consumer loyalty.

The Frisco Farmers Market was founded:

To give growers and producers in North Texas alternative marketing opportunities.

To promote the sale of Texas-grown farm and ranch products.

To improve the variety, freshness, taste, and nutritional value of

produce and meats available in the Frisco area.

To enhance the quality of life in the Frisco area by providing a community activity

which fosters social gathering and interaction.

To preserve North Texas’ unique agricultural heritage and the historical role

which farmers’ markets have played in it.

Proceeds from the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market benefit the Rotary Club of Frisco

and their local community support.

HOPE Farmer’s Market

The HOPE Farmers’ Market sells organically grown, all-natural, GMO-free, and grass-fed products from a variety of different vendors. This includes fruit and vegetables as well as meat, eggs, and other produce. The market gives residents of the Rio Grande Valley better access to fresh, locally grown produce, helps promote healthy eating, and raises awareness about sustainable, environmental practices.

The Farmers’ Market will be available to all who grow to produce in the community garden or are part of the Valley Green Growers Cooperative Society (see below) and are actively practicing organic farming and ranching. This will not only be a farmers’ market, but also a training area for students to learn entrepreneurial skills in the food business.

Brownsville Farmers’ Market

The Farmers’ Market provides fresh produce in a food desert location, enhances the social aspect of building community, ensures access to local seasonal products in a low-income area of the city, and encourages entrepreneurship. Brownsville Wellness Coalition’s Farmers’ Market, a bi-cultural tourist destination is located in the Mitte Cultural District and is one of only three certified markets to accept SNAP and WIC vouchers in the Rio Grande Valley. This important designation creates inclusiveness and erases the stigma that farmers’ markets are for the affluent. The Market’s location in a park and its setting along a walking trail invite physical activities. Free yoga, Little Pretzel yoga for kids, and gym boot camps take place every Saturday. Because this is also a pet-friendly market, the entire family can spend quality time together in a healthful, supportive, and safe environment.
