Stevenson Farmers’ Market

The Stevenson Farmers’ Market is a seasonal market focusing on supplying regionally-grown produce and farm products sold by the farmer. Farmers’ markets provide a unique opportunity for the consumer to meet the grower who raised the food they eat. Locally grown food is a sustainable approach to agriculture that uses fewer resources to bring the highest quality, freshest food to your table, and provides food security for the community.

If 20% of the fruit, vegetables, and meat consumed in the gorge were purchased directly from a local farmer 9.6 Million Dollars would stay in the local economy. For every $100 spent at a farmers market $62 stays in the local economy and $99 stays in the state. Farmers get 72% more money when you buy direct. 3 companies own 50% of the world’s seeds while only 4 retailers sell 50% of the nations groceries and 4 companies process 80% of the meat consumed in the nation. This means 98% of the food consumed in the Columbia Gorge is shipped in from other areas. The average vegetable travels more than 7 days and 1500 miles to sit on a shelf in the grocery store. Eating local requires almost no packaging and tastes more vibrant.

Snohomish Farmers Market

In 1991 Dennis Lebow visualized a quiet, dead-end street in Historic Downtown Snohomish coming to life with clowns & jugglers amid vendors selling truckloads of fresh produce. Last Chance Productions, which Lebow & partner Rich Wertz operated, sponsored the first Snohomish Public market which debuted on July 9th on Avenue A. On the 200-foot street, there was room for up to 35 spaces where vendors set up shop off their tailgates. In the gazebo overlooking the Snohomish River, a bluegrass band and other musicians would be performed.

The Market was short-lived at its first location and later moved to the Snohomish Iron Works property.

The Snohomish Farmers Market hired a new market manager, Sarah Dylan Jensen & continues to have a fantastic Board of Directors made up of market vendors & community members. We are also proud to continue our prestigious membership with the Washington State Farmers Market Association.  In 2016, we celebrated our 25th Anniversary and are pleased to continue our offering of a variety of locally-grown produce, packaged foods, coffee, crafts, art & more. The continued community & business support help keep the market running week after week, along with the assistance of incredible vendors and volunteers.

We’re always looking for fun, new offerings to add to our Thursday market selection.  Whether you own a farm or a food truck, we’d love to learn more about you and what you offer!

We have several categories that the majority of our vendors fall under: Farmers, Processors, Prepared Foods, and Artisans & Crafters.  We do not allow franchise businesses or multi-level marketing companies in our market, but we’d love to speak with you more about partnership possibilities if you own or operate a business in this category.

Due to the size and category limitations of our market, not all applicants can be accepted.  We are looking for unique, quality items to be sold.  Preference is given to farmers, and then those vendors selling goods that are as close to 100% hand-made locally as possible (including cultivating of goods like herbs for soaps & tinctures, fabrics for crafts, etc.)  Your application will be juried by our Board of Directors and Manager to ensure it is a good fit for our market.  If you are added to the waitlist, do not fear!  We often call up vendors to fill in as schedules change!

2022/23 Market Applications

Our 2023 Snohomish Farmers Market Application will be available in early March.  You will find it below once available.  Not all applications will be accepted – we will do our best to review in a timely manner and communicate with you.  Please DO NOT apply for 2023 below, these applications will be archived after our Harvested Holiday Market.

Please read through our rules/regulations before submitting your application.
