Our story

PAWS (Potomac Animal Wellness Services) was formerly Glymont Animal hospital. In February 2015 Dr. Parkin purchased the hospital and starting making many positive changes to better serve the community. We are now open 7 days a week from 8am-7pm, and we enjoy caring for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Our groomer Shannon enjoys grooming dogs of all sizes, and giving them summer and winter trims, painting nails, and doing doggy hair dye. We are a four doctor, full service American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited veterinary hospital offering wellness care, routine and advanced surgery, dentistry, oral surgery, in-house diagnostics, OFA screening, therapeutic laser, and reproductive care. We are fully equipped with electronic medical records, digital radiography, and digital dental x-ray. We also offer day, and overnight boarding. Same-day sick or emergency appointments are available from 8am-7pm seven days a week.
