Immunization
Influenza Vaccine Update
We are concerned about your health, especially in the middle of Flu Season. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated annually against influenza. It’s critical that everyone who is able receives a flu vaccine. It’s essential that active duty service members, active duty family members, and other beneficiaries are well-protected from influenza.
Active Duty Service Members
Active duty and Guard/Reserve members are required to get the flu vaccine. The 27SOMDG is available to Active Duty Service Members only. Appointments are not required, walk in between 0730-1630
Active Duty Family Members and Other Beneficiaries:
Due to delays in flu vaccine shipments, the 27SOMDG is currently limiting the flu immunization to active service members, children ages 6 months-35 months and adults ages 65 and above. Once the remainder of Cannon’s flu vaccine allotment arrives, the immunization will be available to all beneficiaries.
Other Options for Getting the Flu Vaccine
If you cannot get the flu vaccine here at the 27th Medical Group, you can visit any participating network pharmacy or TRICARE-authorized (civilian) provider. When you get a flu vaccine from anywhere besides 27SOMDG, follow your Service policy guidance for recording the vaccine in your shot record. You'll need the following information:
- The date the vaccine was given
- The vaccine name or code
- Manufacturer
- Lot number
