Tagum
Geographical Address
Tagum, officially the City of Tagum, (Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Tagum; Filipino: Lungsod ng Tagum), or simply referred to as Tagum City, is a 1st class city and capital of the Davao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 259,444 people.[3]
It is the most populous component city in Mindanao.
It is one of the top most livable cities in the Philippines, and was one of the finalists in Most Child Friendly City in the Philippines – Component Category along with Laoag, and Talisay, Cebu.[4]
In the recently released 2017 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI), the City of Tagum ranked third on the Overall Competitive Component Cities in the Philippines, second on Infrastructure, fourth in Resiliency, seventeenth on Economic Dynamism and twenty-fourth on Government Efficiency.
