Mission

It is the mission of the U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart to provide facility support services and quality-of-life programs and activities to Service members, Civilians, Retirees, and their families in our area of operation. This area encompasses the installations contained within the cities of Stuttgart, Boeblingen, Vaihingen, and Mohringen. Stuttgart is a "Purple" community meaning that all Armed Forces to include the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard are supported by USAG Stuttgart. The Stuttgart Military Community is known as a "Purple Community," meaning that all branches of service (to include active duty, reserve, and guard) are assigned here from the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard. United States Army Garrison (USAG) Stuttgart is located in the southwest German city of Stuttgart, the cultural and political capital of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The city has over 600,000 inhabitants or more than 1.5 million including the adjoining suburbs. Stuttgart is perhaps best known as the manufacturing site of Mercedes and Porsche.
