Some like to camp in comfort while others like to rough it. Either way, your get-away days and nights of sleeping under the stars are close by and convenient.

Our large campground offers spaces for RVs and camp trailers. Pads with full hookups are available throughout the recreation area. A dump station is conveniently located near the camping area. You can stay for up to 90 days or, ask for an extension if you wish to stay longer. DoD ID cardholders only.

Fort Hood Access

RV gate clearance is a security requirement for all RVs and trailers entering post. This includes those staying at the RV Travel Camp.

Entry

Exit Hwy 190 at the Clarke Road exit and proceed north at the stop sign. Once you have shown proof of registration and insurance, you will be directed to the x-ray machine with your RV. Upon completion of that security check, you will be directed south to the RV campgrounds. Once registered at the campground, you will need to go the Marvin Leath Visitor Center to obtain a visitor pass to enter the installation. At the Visitor Center, you'll be asked for a driver's license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance for the vehicle you will be driving during your stay.

Note: Expect a wait if arriving in the early morning hours between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m.
