Consuming the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.  By reducing the risk of disease, you decrease healthcare costs, increase productivity, and give our youth a healthy start!

The Town of Steilacoom is a military-friendly community, so bring your families down and see what we have to offer you. With more than 80 vendors to choose from, we are confident you will have fun filling your appetites and shopping bags.

Fresh Express Mobile Market

We believe that everyone should have access to fresh food all year long.

The Fresh Express Mobile Market is a year-round, mobile market, offering a full range of fresh and local products to a variety of neighborhoods and community gathering spaces across Pierce County. We have also partnered with the Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) and the Tacoma Housing Authority (THA) to distribute weekly home deliveries to over 60 households around Tacoma.

We accept SNAP EBT, cash, and credit/debit, and we match SNAP EBT at a 1:1 ratio to double your food dollars. Unfortunately, Fresh Express is unable to accept WIC and Senior FMNP vouchers at this time.

We’re working toward a stronger, more equitable local food system by investing in our county’s farmers and vendors and supporting community access to fresh and local food.
